Quick Revenue Booster, from DC

You can put a lot of time into SEO work, list-building, creating new products of your own, etc., etc., and all will help your results - over time. But what if you could find a way to see immediate increases in what you get without any increase in visitors, JV partners, or anything else?

The way to do it is with One Time Offers (OTO's). No doubt you're already familiar with them - you grab a product, then on the download page there's: "But Wait - wouldn't it be great to have THIS as well?" - or something similar.

Have you ever grabbed that second product as well? Many do... 2% - 20% in our experience, depending on the OTO. So without any additional effort, that site owner got a bigger return instantly, didn't they?

Lately there's a big trend to giving away a great product, and following that up with an OTO as well.

The best one I can show you is the one at Jeff Dedrick's Secret Page Spy site:

Affiliate Marketing, from Eric's Tips

As I mentioned in the last welcome edition, today I'll be revealing one of the methods I used to generate income while on vacation.
It's called affiliate marketing.

There are many methods and variations of affiliate marketing, but basically it's promoting other people's products and services and getting paid for it.
Most people are amazed to learn just how much of the internet is driven by this type of marketing. Almost anytime you click on a link or a banner that is advertising a product or service, there is affiliate marketing involved.

Here's basically how it works...
I partner with an individual or company who is selling something... let's say they're selling an ebook. By partnering with them, I become their "affiliate". I receive a link to send visitors to my partner's website. The link has my affiliate ID in it.
When someone clicks the link and buys the ebook, I get credit for it because my ID was in the link. Perhaps the ebooks sells for $30 and the commission is 50%. The affiliate program tracks my commissions, and pays me automatically on a regular basis.

There are ways of marketing your links so that they bring you commissions over and over again. While on vacation, I had hundreds of links that people clicked on which resulted in hundreds of dollars of commission each day. There is no support involved for me, and I don't even have to check my email.

Now maybe you're new to all this... Perhaps you don't know the difference between a link and a click, and you don't have the first idea of how to get started in this business.

DON'T WORRY!

I've written a tutorial program which will walk you through it from square one, even if you're a total beginner with no internet experience. The program is a simple step-by-step approach which reveals exactly how I make income by writing tiny ads for my affiliate links.

You can join the program for free today at:

Free Affiliate Tips, from Matthew Glanfield

Over three years ago I decided that I wanted to start making a living online. I had little money (actually, I had NO money), but had some web design skills.

So off I went and started looking around. One of the first things that I found was affiliate marketing - or the business of selling other people's products.

It seemed so simple! Just place an ad on my website and sit back and watch the money flow in. Isn't that how affiliate marketing works?

Just to remind you that today I am hosting, with Anik Singhal, a free teleseminar on "How To Build and Manage An Unstoppable Online Sales Force By Running Your Own Affiliate Program".

You can find out why this call is going to be very important to your business and pick up a PDF report and video at the same time over at

The call is going to be high content, and I've put up some of the questions I will be putting to him so you can see the kind of value this call is going to give you.

Affiliate Link Hijacking -- Fact or Fiction?, by A-to-Z Internet

Recently there has been an increasing amount of talk online about the hot topic of "affiliate link hijacking". If you are unfamiliar with that term, let me give you a brief example. Let's say an affiliate runs an ad or sends an email recommendation with the standard looking affiliate link of: http://affiliatesite.com/cgi-bin/12345/IMakeMoneyOffYou.htm

What some marketers of various software and website enhancement products would lead you to believe is that there is a rampant problem of people who are changing your affiliate link into their own before they purchase the product you advertised to them, thus not allowing you to receive credit for referring them. However the data does not support that assumption.

HERE'S THE REAL SCOOP... Like they say, "Documentation Beats Conversation", in the last 12 months, after selling more than $250 000 as an online merchant, paying out more than $125 000 to affiliates, and earning more than $100 000 from the various affiliate programs I promote, I have a very good understanding of what is really happening because of my unique insight on both the affiliate and the merchant side of Internet business.

There is bad news, but there is also some great news.

FIRST, THE BAD NEWS... Yes, I've found that an average of 30 to 40% of affiliate commissions go untracked. That means that for any given promotion, recommendation or marketing you do for an affiliate program, you are not going to receive credit for 30% or more of the sales that you generate - due primarily to the 3 main reasons I've identified below - because they were not tracked properly to you. Disheartened? Don't be. In just a minute, I will show you how to cut the number of lost sales down to virtually zero.

SO WHY ARE YOU LOSING SO MANY COMMISSIONS? It all boils down to 3 main reasons. Let's first look at those reasons and then I'll show you how to stop them from happening...
#1) The Deleted Cookie. Almost all affiliate programs today use a cookie to track sales because this is the only effective way to track sales of returning visitors. The way you lose the commission, though, is you refer people to a site, the cookie is set, but when they later come back to the site to buy, the cookie has been deleted from their computer and the sale therefore goes untracked. The most common way this happens is expiring cookies or manual deletion - the common occurrence of people clearing their cookies and "cache'.
#2) The Cut-Off. Instead of going to www.company.com/cgi-bin/12345 they go straight to www.company.com For whatever reason, some people (a significant percentage of people) don't like to be tracked, don't like someone earning money from their purchase, etc... so they go straight to the parent site by cutting off all of the obvious tracking stuff, in this example the /cgi-bin/12345, which means you won't receive credit for referring them.
#3) The Turn-Off. Most people, when they see an affiliate link, or even a redirect on the referrer's website (the basis of all of the "new solutions" that have popped up as of late) know that they are being sold to. Regardless of how well- meaning and unbiased the recommendation may be, it is all lost because that reader's "sales guard" goes up and it kills the honest recommendation.

HOW TO FIX THESE COMMISSION-ROBBING PROBLEMS. There are several options available to you as an affiliate...
Option #1: Do nothing. The first option is do nothing and continue to just use your normal affiliate link without using any of the link protection methods available to you. Definitely not the best choice, because it means you are always losing out on 30% to 40% of the sales you should be earning.
Option #2: Redirects on your website. What this means is you set up a page on your website and have it redirect to your affiliate link using a meta or _javascript redirect. This requires you to have your own website that you can upload new webpages to and you also know how to create redirects (it is a bit technical).
Option #3: Frame-forwards. You have your links forwarded inside an invisible frame. What that means is that your link is seamlessly forwarded inside an invisible frame, so that the domain name shown is held in the browser during the entire visit to the merchant's site. This is the best way to protect your affiliate link and also the easiest. In fact, I've used it to practically triple my affiliate sales overnight, and have been using this method ever since. You can read more about this at www.affiliatedoubler.com/grahamer Properly executed, this solution produces amazing results because your referral has all the appearances of the honest, unbiased recommendation that it is. This allows your audience to properly evaluate what you are recommending without their "sales guard" up. There are several additional benefits of AffiliateDoubler that go beyond the scope of this article - things like being able to show more than one window from just one link. The bottom line is this. The real problem is not "link hijacking", which can only really be solved by the merchant not allowing a customer to get a "discount" by buying through their own affiliate link, thus destroying the whole purpose of an affiliate program. (This is a whole other article by itself, one that reveals how merchant's well meaning intentions are robbing you of sales and there is nothing you can do about it.) Instead, the real reasons for lost commissions can easily be prevented by using domain name forwarding services like www.affiliatedoubler.com/grahamer, causing a nice increase in your monthly affiliate commission checks.

Have you heard the mastermind call with Ewen Chia and Marlon Sanders yet?

They talk about everything that is in Ewen Chia's Super Affiliate Cloning Document and took that to the next level... they talk about different applications for it and hearing what Marlon has to say in just 41 minutes is a complete marketing lesson by itself...

Honestly, this is one of the best 41 minute interviews I've ever heard. But you have to get it now because It's only going to be available until midnight tonight!

Hey Ahmad, Ok, do you want to know the #1 obstacle that most of your fellow readers face?

Are you ready for this? It may come as a shock... It is this: "How do you get started?"

Depending on how long you have been with my Affiliate Marketing Formula program you may already have some ideas on the answer to this question. But many of you simply have no idea where to begin. You have learned about affiliate marketing, traffic generation, squeeze pages, and more, but you still can't get past that first step of getting started.

And to be honest, I don't blame you. Getting started is definitely the hardest part of ANY project, whether starting your own business, starting your education, or anything else for that matter.

This is why I have decided to do things a little differently around here. You see, I have been delivering lots of articles, posts, information, teleseminars, audio, and video to teach you about affiliate marketing. But I haven't really put it all together into a "Getting Started" course that you could follow step by step, day by day, until you actually really got your profitable business started.

Well, that's about to change. In fact, it is going to change on Tuesday, August 29, 2006 at 8am. No, I am not coming out with a $1000 home-study course. No, I am not coming out with another new website with something to sell you.

I am simply improving the experience that you are already receiving. In fact, it might not cost you anything to get all the new stuff that I am working on. So what have I been doing exactly?Stay tuned to find out...

Adsense sites, from Stuart Reid

Have you seen the new "Desktop Adsense Cash Machine" that is doing the rounds? It's a great tool for turning articles into AdSense Sites!

AdSense Sites, if you don't know, are `simple` content-based websites that earn revenue from clicks to the Google Ads that are placed on there. It's a true hands-free opportunity. Search Engines love content, and advertisers will appreciate clicks to their ads from content sites. The Desktop Machine will create these sites and even upload them for you. It will even automatically grab content from the web if you don't have articles to hand on your hard-drive. This software usually costs around $47 if you look around. But I've included it as a bonus in my Ultimate Adsense package.

This package contains the aforementioned software, 155 pre-built sites you can upload right away, and an impressive collection of PLR Article packs and AdSenseEbooks. I've also just added another 190 Adsense Sites - making 345 in Total! These are all niche sites and are fully editable. This `second batch` also contains Amazon and RSS feeds on each page. This new batch of AdSense Sites also feature simple customization since they are in PHP format. Just edit the configuration files and the entire site will be coded with YOUR adsense and amazon IDs. You can access the package at: www.ultimateadsense.com (If you just want to look first you can get a free AdSense Site just for visiting)

The site is so new it may not be at that address yet for you (takes a few days to wing it's way around the web). So you can use the temporary address: www.netpreneurnow.com/googleadsense

The site also offers 80% Commissions: Usually the affiliate program is only open to purchasers, but for the launch I'm letting all my subscribers in. I'm sure you'll agree 80% is an awesome payout rate! You can sign up for the PayDotCom Affiliate Program here: https://paydotcom.com/a.page.php?id=7303&u=netnews

With this new update I'll almost certainly drop the commission, raise the price, or both pretty soon. These AdSense Sites take up a *lot* of Bandwidth when downloaded!

Free Louis Allport's new video-book

We've just uploaded Louis Allport's new video-book called "Maximizing AdSense".

In it Louis *shows* you many tips and tricks you can use to increase your AdSense Commissions. It's such a great book we've decided to give it to you for free!

To grab your copy, just visit the Ultimate AdSense site: www.ultimateadsense.com
and claim your gifts. Do this by clicking the yellow pop-in post-it note you will see, or if you miss that scroll to the bottom of the page for the link. (You'll also get two complete AdSense sites)

11 Adsense Revenue Tips, by Stuart Reid

AdSense is Google's advertising service for webmasters. WIth this you place AdSense ads on your site or Blog, and Google will pay you for each ad that is clicked. The money earned is a percentage of that which the Advertiser paid to display the ad. The rate is a secret, and it seems to vary.

Google AdSense Ads are context based, so the ads that are shown should be related to the page they are displayed on. Google AdSense is free to join but you must be approved by Google first.

Here's 11 Tips on Making the Most of Adsense.

1. AdSense Sites should be designed to be Search Engine Friendly. The main goal is to get a good ranking, and to attract hits to the site. More hits = more clicks = more commissions! Good keyword research is essential, and a site full of content over multiple pages will work best. Use free or private-label articles for the content and use keyword-laden names for the site and page addresses. Of course your site must be listed at Google too. Submit a Sitemap or get your site linked from a site that is already indexed. If you can't get a link that way, consider posting to Forums, Blogs and Directories.

2. For the best click-thru rates try to make the Google Ads blend with the content. The best way to do this is to use the larger ad formats, NOT the banner or tower ones. Incorporate these ad-blocks into your main content with a colour scheme that makes it match your site.

3. Stick to Google's rules! You WILL have your account suspended if you don't play fair. Providing content, with ads, is fine. Don't try to force clicks to your ads, don't use scripts or software to simulate clicks, and don't try to run ads on Gambling, Porn or other illegal sites.

4. AdSense Ads can display as graphics (if available) or text. You can set this option in your preferences. Text will work better, because of point 2 above. Graphics may look more impressive, but scream "ad" to a potential clicker - so be careful.

5. Take the time to set different channels in your AdSense prefs. These are part of the tracking system and without them all your clicks will show as one. If you use multiple sites this is essential so you know where the clicks are coming from.

6. If Google doesn't have an Ad for the content of your page they will show a public-service ad. You can overwrite this and specify an ad of your own to show. You could, for example, use an Affiliate Link. Scripts exist to replace a public-service ad with other options, such as Clickbank Ads.

7. For a page to show context-ads that page has to be in Google's index. If more than a few of your pages end up showing the Public Service Ads consider submitting a Sitemap to Google to ensure ALL your pages are indexed. By careful use of keywords within your page it is possible to influence the AdSense algorithm to favour certain ads. You can also stop certain ads appearing on your page from your account. You can block domains (such as your competitors - you don't want them at your site!) and you can use `section` code in your page to block keywords. This can help ensure the right types of Ads appear on your site.

8. Another source of revenue from Adsense is the `search` option. This will show the familiar Google search-box on your site, but show some sponsored (and paying) links in the search results. This Search Box is a useful addition to your page but can tempt your visitors away. A better use for this is in an exit-popup, since once someone leaves your site their first port of call is usually a search-engine to find more information. Let that search engine pay you!

9. Google is picky about how many AdSense ads are displayed on a page. Check your account for the current details. Usually you are safe with 2-3 ads, perhaps utilising Google's Links Box as well as the usual Ads (the horizontal links format can work well). They also won't let you display AdSense on a page with other context-ads, for example Yahoo!'s Search-Marketing system.

10. If you are a member of the Google AdWords program (where ads are placed) you can access some useful tools. For example, you can get an estimate of how many hits certain Keywords receive, and how much revenue they generate. By carefuly designing your page to use high-traffic and high-paying Keywords you can increase your revenue.

11. You can refer other people to join the AdSense program, and when they do you will earn $100 as soon as they do. There are buttons you can use from your AdSense account but Google won't provide you with a straight link. =============================================
